What our figures, photographs and vehicle descriptions can and cannot tell you.

Estimates are estimates

Every duty figure on this site is an estimate produced by applying a published rule set to a CIF value you enter. The binding figure is the assessment Ghana Customs (GRA) issues through ICUMS. It can differ from our estimate because of valuation, depreciation, classification, the exchange rate Customs applies, or charges that were not modelled. Budget for a difference, and ask us for the official assessment before you commit.

Exchange rates

Cedi prices are converted using the Bank of Ghana selling rate for the date shown. We display the rate and its date so you can check it. We do not use the mid rate, and we do not quietly substitute an older rate — if no current rate is available the site says so instead of converting. The duty calculator never uses this rate: it works from the CIF value you provide.

Vehicle information

  • Descriptions, equipment lists and condition notes come from the supplier or from what we can see. Where we do not know something, we mark it as unknown rather than guess.
  • Photographs show the vehicle as it was when the photograph was taken. Colour can look different on different screens, and a photograph is not an inspection.
  • Mileage figures are those recorded or reported for the vehicle. On an imported vehicle they are not a guarantee of the complete history.
  • A vehicle marked SOLD stays online so you can see what has passed through. It is not available.
